A late call-up for the injured Christophe Laporte, the young Norwegian makes history as the first rider to graduate from Team Visma | Lease a Bike's development squad to a Tour de France start. The 2021 junior world champion announced himself this spring with a stunning second place at E3 Saxo Classic behind Mathieu van der Poel. He'll shepherd Vingegaard through the wind and cobbles of the nervous opening week — and turns 23 during the race, on 10 July.
