The German power sprinter joined Jayco AlUla for 2026 as Dylan Groenewegen's successor, calling the Australian squad the team he 'looked up to' as a kid. With 45+ career wins including the 2019 Giro points jersey, three Giro stages and two Vuelta stages, only a Tour de France stage is missing from his set. He came close last July with a fourth place; now he gets Jayco's full lead-out.

Palmarès

  • Giro d'Italia points classification + 2 stage wins (2019)
  • Giro d'Italia stage winner (2023)
  • 2× Vuelta a España stage winner (2020)
  • German national road race champion (2018)
  • Eschborn–Frankfurt winner (2019)
  • Classique Dunkerque winner (2025)
Cut-out factA Tour stage win would complete his collection of stage victories in all three Grand Tours — he signed a two-year deal with Jayco after two seasons at Israel–Premier Tech.
