The pure climber from Don Quixote country is Caja Rural's quiet weapon for the third week. Signed from Kern Pharma after six seasons and a 17th place at the 2024 Vuelta, Parra announced himself this June with ninth overall at the Critérium du Dauphiné against the Tour's biggest stars. At 57 kg he floats uphill: expect him in mountain breakaways or riding discreetly toward a top GC result.

Palmarès

  • 9th overall Critérium du Dauphiné (2026)
  • Tour Alsace overall winner (2021)
  • 17th overall Vuelta a España (2024)
  • 2nd overall + stage winner Alpes Isère Tour (2024)
Cut-out factHe comes from Ossa de Montiel, a tiny La Mancha village beside the Lagunas de Ruidera in Don Quixote country — and at 57 kg he's one of the very lightest riders in the entire 2026 Tour peloton.
