The elder statesman of this youthful squad at just 28, the Augsburg native lines up for his sixth consecutive Tour de France. He spent the past year in the German champion's jersey and used it to land the biggest win of his career on 1 May, outsprinting Tom Pidcock to take Eschborn–Frankfurt in front of a home crowd — his first WorldTour victory.

Palmarès

  • Eschborn–Frankfurt (2026)
  • German national road race champion (2025)
  • Giro d'Abruzzo overall (2025)
  • Stage 6, Critérium du Dauphiné (2023)
  • Stage 2, Tour de l'Ain (2021)
Cut-out factHe is only the eleventh German ever to win Eschborn–Frankfurt, and the first since Pascal Ackermann in 2019 — he called it 'the greatest victory of my career'.
